| These designs were illustrated by Pugin in his book, The True Principles of Pointed or Christian Architecture. Both this book and a second called An Apology for the Revival of Christian Architecture in England, began life as two lectures that Pugin gave to St. Mary's, Oscott. The lectures were published in 1843 when he was 31. Pugin was Professor of Ecclesiastical Antiquities at Oscott. |
