These stained glass windows were designed by Pugin. There are many religious stained glass windows but here we have chosen to show decorative roundel windows.

Most of these windows come from St. Augustine's, Ramsgate.

Pugin had a stain glass workshop in the grounds of his house in Ramsgate, known as the cartoon room.

Pugin worked with William Wailes and John Hardman on the glass.

The drawings were done in the cartoon room, and then sent to Hardman in Birmingham to create.

This did cause administrative difficulties so John Hardman Powell came down to Ramsgate to help.

Both Pugin's wife Jane and his son Edward helped him in the production of the windows.
