St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School.

Exterior

school door This school in Cadogan Street, London S.W.3 was built in 1841 and dedicated in 1844. It has a very pretty front with the original windows intact. It could do with some attention to the brick work and the removal of a shrub which is begining to take root. The main door to the school is original and has good moulding above it. The door itself has large attractive hinges top and bottom, but could do with being painted a different colour.

Skyline

With it's impressive pinnacled skyline this school must be enjoyable to work in. Pugin did not allow for the skyline to be shared with the trees but somehow it makes the roof seem more attractive. Rather like St. Thomas's in Fulham. roof
