These floor tiles were designed by Pugin and executed by Minton. The quality of them varies, as years of foot tread has worn them a little.

These tiles come from St. Augustine's, Ramsgate. The church Pugin built for himself.

The middle tile, the Shrewsbury lion comes fron St. Wilfrid's church in Cotton. The Earl of Shrewsbury was Pugin's patron.
